The design of Noblessner quarter public space began in 2014, when a project was ordered in addition to the winning work of the architectural competition.
The solution is based on three principles:
- Pedestrian level
- Aerial view
- View from the sea
Emphasis has been placed on living space so that pedestrians can spend their time in here as comfortably as possible. In addition to the urban space passages, meaningful places and opportunities where people could spend time and enjoy the proximity of the sea were consciously sought.
The numbers and letters marked on the edge of the quay bring playfulness to the quarter from a well-known board game. The lighting design of the quarter was also designed with the idea to create something different. The most visible are probably the red Krane street lamps, which has become like a symbol of this urban place.
The greenery of the quarter has been created by Kino Landscape Architects
